Whistler Canada July 2012

We rented a van with our friends and headed up to Whistler for a long weekend and to celebrate Sabra’s birthday. We stayed right on the square in the Clock Tower.

Our rooms were studio condos with a Murphy bed. They were so roomy and lots of light.

The gelato was delicious! Gene shared his with me.

While we were eating lunch in the square we were entertained by people on stilts

We took the gondola to the top of the mountain

I’m not too keen about heights but I sucked it up and tried not to focus on the windows.

After that ride up we needed a drink! And a special cake for Sabra

Here I am with a cougar!

The mountain still has some snow in July and cute little chipmunks!

Even though it was July it was still a little chilly

You had an option of taking the gondola back down or a chairlift. The gals went with the gondola and the guys took the chairlift. As the guys were going down they saw a bear and some beautiful flower patches.

Here are some misc pictures:

Lake Limerick May 2012

Our good friends, Kurt & Sabra, bought a house on Lake Limerick this year. We spent a nice weekend in May enjoying their new home.

We had a scrumptious pot full of clams!

Gene had fun fishing and caught 3 trout that he cooked up for breakfast.

Gene is getting fishing tips from a couple of the locals.

Paul, Gene & Kurt enjoying some fresh air on the deck.

Here is a picture of the house from the club house deck. That’s Sabra standing in the yard.

Here is Sabra, me, and Terri relaxing on Kurt & Sabra’s bed.

This was one of my favorites spot to sit and read my book with a view of the lake. What a great time we had….with many more to come.
